Keto, born 1975, graduated as an artistic blacksmith in 2003 from PirkanmaaTaitokesus (Pirkanmaa College, School of Crafts & Design) located in Lempääla, Finland. After she met her future husband, blacksmith Nikolaj Kovacs, during one of her educational trips to Hungary, she relocated to Denmark in 2003. Keto completed her education as a jewellery artist in January 2008 from the Instituttet for Ædelmetal (Institute of Noble Metals) in Copenhagen.

Kovacs, born 1971, has his background in the traditional craft of blacksmithing. Kovacs was also educated in Raadvad, Denmark in restoration of historical buildings. He went onto learn artistic blacksmithing in central Europe where he worked in Austria, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Started at Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi, Kunstakademiets Arkitektskole (The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture) in Copenhagen, 2006.
